Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking a Food Program Outreach Representative to join the CACFP Outreach team in New Mexico.

This in-office role runs Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with statewide travel about two weeks per month. You will visit childcare facilities to verify compliance with USDA food regulations, help facilities establish monthly reimbursement claims, and ensure home providers meet USDA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with two years of experience in general office procedures and customer service.
• Social services and accounting background is a plus.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit childcare facilities to establish monthly reimbursement claims for the food program.

The CACFP(Child and Adult Care Food Program) is a USDA federal program that pays for healthy meals and snacks at homes that serve children up to age 13 and adults that receive in home care or are functionally impaired. This will be an in officeposition with expected statewide travel approximately 2 weeks out of the month.

HOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

• You will be conducting childcare facilityvisits to ensure the facilitiesare feeding the children based on the USDA food regulations.
• You will be responsible for recruiting childcare facilities to assist them inestablishing a monthly claim forreimbursement for their food program.
• You will beresponsible for ensuring that home providers meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• High School Diploma or GED and two (2) progressive years of experience in general office procedures and customer service.
• Social services and accounting background experience is a plus.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.

• Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable.
