Description:

Outreach Registrar for Lab

*Casual/PRN position helping cover evening shift and weekends.

Position Purpose:

The Outreach Registrar ensures an accurate and complete registration process in HealthQuest, including scanning and uploading patient information into ChartMaxx. Acts as a resource for laboratory, hospital departments, and physician practices, interacting respectfully with staff. Understands diagnosis and procedure codes (CPT and ICD-10) to ensure compliance with third-party regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid. Prioritizes patient care in line with the department's service vision.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate friendliness, courtesy, and effective communication to create a professional environment and provide first-class service.
• Communicate with hospital departments and physician practices to obtain, provide, or revise information.
• Receive specimens and paperwork for registration; ensure specimen throughput aligns with department procedures.
• Ensure all patient demographics and insurance information are complete in the billing system to maintain data integrity.
