Job summary

Valley Health System seeks a phlebotomist to perform blood draws for outreach and hospital patients, traveling to nursing homes as needed. • 1 year phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience drawing blood from elderly/Alzheimer's patients and others with difficult veins.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy for outreach and hospital patients, traveling to nursing homes as needed.
• Accession and process specimens from inpatient and outreach clients.
• Register outreach and in-house patients (insurance, dx.codes, demographics) and respond to inquiries via phone, fax, or printer.
