Job summary

Alverno PSC RMC is seeking an Outreach Phlebotomy Services team member in Chicago to collect blood specimens and perform laboratory office duties. Responsibilities include patient registration, accurate data entry, specimen accessioning, and processing for testing or transport to central/reference labs.

The role may involve limited waived POC testing and potentially driving to other locations. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are required, with weekend rotation and 0.9 FTE

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience and/or training required.
• Medical laboratory background or knowledge of terminology preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Travel to other locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform associated lab duties.
• Register patients and enter data into the computer system.
• Process specimens for testing or transport to central/reference labs.
• Prepare specimens and may perform limited waived POC tests as authorized.
• May act as a driver and participate in on-call rotation.
