Job summary

Alverno PSC Bartlett is seeking a phlebotomist to collect blood specimens and perform related laboratory office duties at our Bartlett, IL location. Responsibilities include registering patients, entering required data, and preparing specimens for testing or transfer to central/reference labs.

The role may involve driving to other locations and participating in on-call rotations, depending on staffing needs. A High School diploma or GED is required, with prior phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
• Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• May be required to travel/drive to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform laboratory office duties.
• Register patients and accurately enter data into the computer system.
• Prepare specimens for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or a reference lab.
• May act as a driver and participate in the on-call rotation.
