Job summary

The City and County of Honolulu is seeking an Outreach Coordinator in Emergency Services to organize and coordinate public outreach on opioid education at various locations around Oahu.

The role includes conducting surveys, coordinating with other city agencies and community groups, and helping residents learn about prevention and response activities. Work is on-site at 2043 Dillingham Boulevard with continuous application.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and coordinating outreach activities at various locations around the island for the general public directed towards community involvement in the City and County of Honolulu about opioid education.
• Assist in generating, conducting survey and assessing surveys within problem areas around the island.
• Assist in planning and organizing outreach activities involving other city agencies and community groups.
• Assist with community collaboration activities at various locations around the island to build awareness and develop skills to understand the issues with opioid misuse.
• Assist with tracking, documenting and assessing behavior changes and educational awareness of the public’s knowledge on opioids.
