Job summary

Dallas County Votes is seeking a Part-time Opioid Education & Outreach Specialist to design, implement, and supervise educational initiatives aimed at preventing opioid misuse and connecting residents with resources.

You will develop materials, deliver workshops for diverse groups, track attendance and grant expenditures, analyze data to improve programs, and communicate through social media and print media. Evenings and weekends may be required to support outreach events.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school/GED program.
• Four (4) years of experience in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Education, or Community Engagement, or in a job-related field of study.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops educational materials on opioid misuse prevention, pain management, addiction, and harm reduction.
• Delivers workshops and training sessions for diverse audiences, including Dallas County groups.
• Maintains class rosters and training records; tracks grant expenditures and ensures compliance.
• Collects data to measure program impact and adjusts content for effectiveness.
• Uses social media, websites, and print materials to disseminate information on opioids and related topics.
• Attends training on opioid health policy and advocacy issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
