Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, or another relevant field preferred; relevant professional experience will also be considered
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting public-sector or state agency programs is a plus
  • Proven experience managing projects and working directly with clients
  • Strong background in outreach planning, event coordination, marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with digital communications, including websites, social media, signage, direct mail campaigns, and graphic design
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and third-party platforms such as Monday.com
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop practical, marketable solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; AP style experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with program budgeting, strategic business planning, reporting processes, and requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach initiatives that support program goals, community engagement, and stakeholder participation
  • Serve as a key point of coordination for outreach events, partner engagement activities, and community-facing communications
  • Provide logistical and operational support to regional partners
  • Coordinate event registration, venue arrangements, materials distribution, and participant communications
  • Ensure outreach activities align with program objectives, target audiences, and engagement strategies
  • Maintain regular communication with community organizations, stakeholders, and partner agencies to support engagement efforts
  • Assist with partner recruitment, participation tracking, and follow-up activities
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute outreach materials, engagement toolkits, presentations, fact sheets, and related resources
  • Collaborate with program staff and subject matter experts to develop materials that support community engagement and awareness
  • Track outreach activities, event participation, stakeholder engagement, and related performance metrics

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong community and stakeholder relationships, coordinating outreach initiatives and events, and developing engaging resources that support high-impact public-sector programs.

We are looking for someone who is organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This person should be a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can work closely with clients, community organizations, partner agencies, and internal teams to turn program goals into meaningful outreach and engagement opportunities.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in outreach planning, event coordination, marketing and communications, and collaborative program support for public and private organizations. This position also requires the ability to use storytelling to connect with target audiences through effective outreach resources and materials.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll plan, coordinate, and execute outreach initiatives that support program goals, community engagement, and stakeholder participation. You’ll serve as a key point of coordination for outreach events, partner engagement activities, and community-facing communications while providing logistical and operational support to regional partners.

Your work will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing outreach events, community engagement activities, presentations, and stakeholder meetings
  • Developing event timelines, schedules, and logistical plans to support successful outreach initiatives
  • Collaborating with clients to understand business needs and opportunities and determine objectives, budgets, timelines, background information, and deliverables
  • Coordinating event registration, venue arrangements, materials distribution, and participant communications
  • Ensuring outreach activities align with program objectives, target audiences, and engagement strategies
  • Serving as a liaison for regional partners and providing support with scheduling, logistics, outreach planning, and resource coordination
  • Maintaining regular communication with community organizations, stakeholders, and partner agencies to support engagement efforts
  • Assisting with partner recruitment, participation tracking, and follow-up activities
  • Building positive relationships with partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and program visibility
  • Developing, maintaining, and distributing outreach materials, engagement toolkits, presentations, fact sheets, and related resources
  • Ensuring outreach resources are accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with organizational messaging and branding standards
  • Collaborating with program staff and subject matter experts to develop materials that support community engagement and awareness
  • Maintaining inventories of outreach materials and coordinating updates as needed
  • Tracking outreach activities, event participation, stakeholder engagement, and related performance metrics
  • Compiling and organizing data to support program reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Preparing summaries, reports, and documentation highlighting outreach outcomes, engagement trends, and program impact
  • Maintaining accurate records of outreach events, partner interactions, and engagement activities
  • Coordinating with internal teams to support outreach campaigns, special initiatives, and community engagement strategies
  • Assisting with stakeholder communications, follow-up activities, and distribution of program information
  • Identifying opportunities to improve outreach processes, partner engagement, and event effectiveness
  • Researching trends and inspiration relevant to the industry and individual client needs
  • Working closely with web, technology, creative, and multimedia teams to integrate branding, graphics, copy, and creative concepts
  • Supporting special projects and additional program activities as assigned

  • Hands-On Leadership: Comfortable taking ownership of assignments, actively contributing to deliverables, and coordinating work across teams to support client and program needs.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked with state agencies or other public-sector organizations, community outreach programs, traffic or transportation programs, stakeholder coalitions, public awareness campaigns, Monday.com, or multidisciplinary creative and communications teams.
