The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Santa Monica is seeking an Outreach Worker to engage with individuals in need and connect them to housing, health services, and essential resources. This role supports the Santa Monica 311 response and requires compassionate, non-discriminatory engagement.

You will collaborate with city staff, document client information, and help navigate public housing resources while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to program policies.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year in human services or internship.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in human services.
• Ability to work with marginalized and vulnerable populations.
• Willingness to pass alcohol/drug tests.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid California Driver's License and ability to pass TSA driving test.

Aufgaben

• Provide outreach, information/referral, and peer support with Santa Monica 311 response.
• Assist clients in accessing housing, food, shelter, clothing, and interim housing resources.
• Collaborate with Santa Monica Police Department and local agencies for service access.
• Maintain client documentation in HMIS and related software; perform audits.
• Develop individual case plans with the case manager to overcome barriers.
• Be available for flexible hours including after-hours and weekends.
