Job summary

The Salvation Army in Santa Monica seeks an Outreach Worker to provide outreach, information, referral, and peer support. You will collaborate with the Outreach Case Manager and local resources to help clients access housing, food, clothing, and health services.

Responsibilities include coordinating with city staff and Santa Monica Police, maintaining documentation in HMIS/WellSky, and supporting clients in navigating systems to achieve stability and self-determination.

Qualifications

• Experience in human services or internship in related field.
• Ability to engage with marginalized populations respectfully and nondiscriminatory.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends and in a drug/alcohol free environment.

Responsibilities

• Outreach, information/referral, and peer support to individuals in need.
• Coordinate with Santa Monica 311 and police to connect clients with housing and health resources.
• Maintain client documentation using HMIS, WellSky, and other databases.
• Prepare reports and keep timekeeping records as required.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with city staff and partners.
