Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Outreach Coordinator (State Based Exchange) in the Insurance Department of the State of Georgia. The role focuses on statewide outreach, building strategic relationships with communities and stakeholders, and coordinating outreach activities to raise awareness of Georgia Access.

Under the Outreach Supervisor, you will develop materials, coordinate with vendors, and manage communications across the state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience communications or job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Communications Spec 2 (GSP041).

Responsibilities

• Plan statewide community outreach efforts and build strategic relationships between the agency and stakeholders across Georgia.
• Coordinate with the Communications Supervisor to implement the statewide outreach plan to raise awareness of Georgia Access.
• Supervise vendors and assist with development of public education materials, presentations, and displays.
• Organize statewide outreach activities to educate the broader community about Georgia Access and resources.
• Maintain a calendar of outreach events statewide and respond to inquiries from the public.
