Program Description:
The Outreach Specialist will be conducting outreach to the residents of Phipps Properties to connect residents to services offered by Phipps Neighborhoods. The Outreach Specialist will circulate flyers, host workshops, and meetings with residents who are 21 & up. The Outreach Specialist will provide through the Resident Services Specialist referrals to: Financial Counseling, HRA for One Shot Deals, Screening for Food Stamps, Enrollment for Medical Insurance, Education and Career programs such as: HSE, Vocational Training, Employment, and Internships. As well as: Substance Abuse Treatment, and Mental Health Services.

General Equiv Diploma or better.

Build relationships with community organizations and agencies related to the program.
Presentation and training skills for the purpose of providing program promotion and outreach.
Basic computer skills in order to use Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn database, project management, spreadsheet software applications and case management information system.
Ability to communicate verbally with culturally diverse individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
