The Garden City Parks & Recreation Department is growing! With the opening of our brand-new 13-acre Indoor/Outdoor Recreation Facility, the Parks and Recreation Department is seeking two dedicated, full-time professionals to join our team and serve our vibrant community.

Position Summary:

Serve as a vital bridge to our diverse community, with a special focus on ensuring equitable access for our prominent Hispanic and Latino residents.

Key Duties:

Lead community engagement and act as a dedicated Spanish-speaking liaison for youth league registrations and community programs. Work with other Garden City Parks and Recreation Program Coordinators overseeing youth sports and activities.

Requirements:

Fluency in English and Spanish, strong communication skills, and a passion for community building. Requires flexibility for evening and weekend shifts to support youth activities and tournament schedules. Prior experience with municipal Parks and Recreation operations or relevant college degree is preferred.
