Job summary

rivhs in Williamsburg, Virginia seeks an RN Wound Care Nurse to provide routine wound care evaluation and treatments, primarily on an outpatient basis, serving patients from infancy to geriatrics.

The role requires supervising and charting, maintaining competencies, and interacting professionally with patients and staff under supervision of the Program Manager or Clinical Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate, Must completed accredited RN program (Required)
• Previous RN experience (Required)
• VDHP license in good standing (Required)

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for wound care procedures using safety and clinical protocols
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records/charts pertaining to treatment
• Reinforce patient education related to wound healing procedures
• Perform wound healing procedures as required
• Maintain competencies, continuing education and certifications as appropriate
• Day-to-day maintenance of wound care equipment
• Order wound care supplies for PAR room
• Perform hyperbolic treatments, if trained, as ordered by physician
