Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for outpatient wound care. The role is a full-time day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm) with no nights, weekends, or holidays. You will assess wounds, plan care, administer treatments, and collaborate with the wound care team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required is an active NC RN license with BLS. Prior wound care experience and BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC required or eligible
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• One year of wound care experience preferred
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records in the EHR
• Collaborate with care team on wound care planning and execution

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care within the RN scope and maintain accurate records
• Assist in coordinating wound care patients
• Support day-to-day operation of the wound care program
• Maintain competencies and fulfill continuing education requirements
• Participate in quality assurance and safety programs
• Document care in EHR promptly and accurately
• Educate patients and families about plans and goals
