Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Wound Care. This full-time day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm) offers a supportive wound care team and emphasizes patient-focused care in Hickory, NC.

Join a facility committed to quality care, ongoing education, and collaboration with medical staff. Current NC RN license and BLS are required; wound care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN to practice in the state of NC.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Should have working understanding of codes and regulations for wound care program.
• Previous wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care within the RN scope and maintain complete, accurate records in the EHR.
• Assist in coordinating wound care patients and day-to-day wound care program operations.
• Maintain competencies, continuing education and certifications relevant to the position.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety programs as requested by management.
• Assess wound care patients per institutional policy guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policy.
• Document care promptly and accurately in the medical record; update the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Collaborate with the care team to provide effective patient care.
