Job summary

CarePlus NJ Inc in Morris/Bergen on-site is seeking a licensed mental health therapist to join our Outpatient Department, providing assessments, treatment plans, and individual counseling.

You will use evidence-based modalities (CBT, MI) and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support clients on their recovery journey.

This role supports diverse clients with a 45–55 caseload and offers benefits including supervision, vacation, 401k, tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, including internships, community-based services, case management, etc.
• Must have the ability to respond to clients for crisis intervention.
• Provisional/Full Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LAMFT and/or LPC, LCSW, LMFT) required
• Full Professional Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred
• A valid driver's license and you must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an ability to have a diverse caseload of approximately 45-55 clients of various ages and clinical presentations to expand one's clinical knowledge and experience.
• Implement evidence-based interventions (such as CBT, MI) and assessments to help individuals achieve their treatment goals, link to community resources, and provide inter-agency coordination of treatment.
• Assess and evaluate clients at intake, admission, during ongoing treatment and service delivery, and at discharge or transfer.
• Formulate psychosocial treatment plans with relevant goals, behaviorally measurable objectives that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement.
• Respond to clients for crisis intervention.
• Plan for, communicate, and document discharge/aftercare/transfer plans for clients completing treatment and accessing other services in the continuum.
• Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team in the assessment and evaluation of clients, provide written documentation of client's history and assessment information, and actively participate in program and clinical team meetings.
