Job summary

CarePlus New Jersey, Inc. seeks a licensed behavioral health therapist for our Outpatient Department. You will provide assessments, treatment planning, and individual counseling using evidence-based modalities to support mental health recovery.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, accessible care for diverse clients. The role offers on-site, full-time work with a caseload of 45–55 clients, and opportunities for supervision and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, including internships, community-based services, etc.
• Provisional/Full Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LAC, LSW, LAMFT and/or LPC, LCSW, LMFT) required.
• Full Professional Licensure to practice counseling/clinical social work (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an ability to manage a diverse caseload of approximately 45-55 clients across ages and presentations.
• Implement evidence-based interventions (CBT, MI, etc.) and assessments to reach treatment goals.
• Assess and evaluate clients at intake, during treatment, and at discharge or transfer.
• Formulate psychosocial treatment plans with measurable goals and timelines.
• Respond to clients for crisis intervention.
• Plan discharge/aftercare/transfer for clients completing treatment and accessing other services.
