Applicants should hold independent licensure (LICSW, LPCC, LP, or LMFT) or be pursuing licensure, with 3–5 years of experience in child and family mental health. Collaboration with caregivers and other providers is essential to quality care.
Washburn Center has an opening for a full time Outpatient Therapist at our Northwest office in Brooklyn Park. Therapists provide mental health assessment and treatment services to children and families.
Our compassionate, experienced therapists support children and their families through challenging times by providing diagnostic assessments, collaborative treatment planning, and individual and family therapy to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, family transitions, and relationship difficulties. Our approach focuses on building on each child and family’s strengths while helping them develop the skills needed to be successful at home, in school, and in the community.
As an outpatient mental health clinician, your focus will be on providing assessment and therapeutic services for children, teens, and their families in a clinic-based setting. You will actively collaborate with caregivers and, when appropriate, other providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. You will draw upon client-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches.
As a successful candidate, you should hold independent licensure (LICSW, LPCC, LP, or LMFT) or be working towards licensure in one of those areas and be able to demonstrate your skills in children’s mental health diagnostic assessment and treatment.
