Job summary

Northern Pines Mental Health Center in Minnesota is expanding its Outpatient Therapy team and is seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join the NEW Walker, MN Clinic, with travel to other Central Minnesota outpatient offices as needed.

Essential functions include facilitating individual, group, family, and crisis therapies, conducting intakes and assessments, and developing treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field.
• Active MN license or license-eligible; supervision available.
• Experience with adults and children with mental illness.
• Empirically supported psychotherapy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies.
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan.
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan and handle billing communications.
• Collaborate with schools, social services, medical agencies, and community partners.
• Participate in the referral process and maintain records.

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is proud to offer competitive wages and an exceptional benefits package! We are seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Outpatient Team. Travel to other outpatient offices in Central Minnesota to serve clients may be required.

We are excited to be expanding therapeutic services in Cass County in the Fall of 2024! This Outpatient Therapy role will work in our NEW Walker, MN Clinic.

Essential Functions Include

• Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
• Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
• Develop and implement a treatment plan
• Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
• Complete third party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
• Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
• Participate in the referral process
• Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as requested

Qualifications Include

• Master's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
• A valid license in behavioral health without restrictions ( e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MN. Clinical Supervision is available; License-seeking trainees encouraged to apply!
• Experience with adults and children struggling with mental illness
• Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
• Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills
• Valid Driver's License

Compensation & Benefits Include

• Wage Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
