Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking an experienced Outpatient Therapist to provide person-centered therapy to clients with mental health and/or substance use challenges in our Whiteville, NC outpatient clinic. The role focuses on assessments, treatment planning, and delivering therapy in a compassionate, rural-accessible setting.

Responsibilities include screenings, evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and leading therapy groups using diverse modalities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health and active licensure are required.
• LCSW(A), LCMHC(A) and/or LCAS(A) licensure; dual licensure preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop meaningful treatment goals and person-centered plans (PCPs).
• Design and lead therapy groups to foster connection and growth.
• Provide person-centered therapy to clients in an outpatient clinic setting.

Your Role in Our Mission

As an Outpatient Therapist on the team, you’ll play a vital role in helping both youth and adults build brighter, healthier futures. You’ll conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop meaningful treatment goals and person-centered plans (PCPs) that reflect each client’s unique voice, needs, and aspirations.

You’ll also have the opportunity to design and lead therapy groups, fostering connection and growth. This is a wonderful opportunity to utilize your passions and creativity. Whether that’s art therapy, mindfulness, movement, or other therapeutic approaches.

• Competitive salary: $55,000 - 57,000 for provisional licensure; range for full licensure starts at $58,000+
