Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program with CST certification.
• BLS certification required for hires after 4/1/2017.
• Prior surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs and work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to performance standards, policies, and hospital behaviors.
• Performs nursing procedures per hospital policy.
• Prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment for ambulatory procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assists surgeons and RNs during post-procedure care.
• Participates in infection control and safety procedures.
• Completes continuing education credits as required by state law.
• Performs aseptic hand scrub, counts, and intraoperative assistance.
