Job summary

Franciscan Alliance seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time day shift in Lafayette, Indiana. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work and observed holidays off.

Qualifications

Required Certificate Graduate of Accredited Surgical Technologist Program
Required High School Diploma/GED
1 year Surgery Preferred
Required Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSA
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
Assist with prep of patients, as needed.
Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens to take for laboratory analysis.
Clinic responsibilities to include scheduling surgeries, rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, document care of patients via electronic medical record, medication refills and routing phone calls.
