HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to support preoperative assessment, patient preparation, and perioperative care within a collaborative surgical team. You will educate patients and families, participate in safety protocols, and respond to emergencies to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, leadership in caring for patients, and active participation in the perioperative process, with on-call during select non-business

Competenze

• Florida RN license required (compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Mansioni

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and contribute to evidence-based practice improvements.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment and follow-up.
