Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Support Assistant for the Orthopedic Clinic.

The role focuses on patient care-related secretarial duties, including scheduling appointments and coordinating medical records for upcoming visits. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred knowledge of medical terminology and 6 months of secretarial/customer service experience.

Responsible for patient care-related secretarial duties including: scheduling appointments, interacting with patients, families, physicians, and staff, coordinating patient medical records, images, and forms for upcoming visits, and any other ancillary work related to a clinic office visit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Six (6) months of secretarial and customer service experience preferred.
