Job summary

Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. seeks a Substance Abuse Clinical Director to manage the Level 1 Outpatient Substance Abuse Program under the Director of Behavioral Health.

You will supervise therapists and intake/billing staff, oversee clinical service delivery, and ensure compliance with AL DMH and Joint Commission standards. You will conduct intake evaluations, provide staff training, develop treatment plans, and coordinate referrals for additional services.

Qualifications

• Must hold Alabama professional license in one of the specified fields.
• Minimum 5 years of prevention and treatment experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery and documentation of clinical services for program clients.
• Conduct intake evaluations and prepare intake reports.
• Ensure quality and appropriateness of clinical services within the Level 1 Outpatient Substance Abuse Program.
• Provide annual training for Substance Abuse Program staff.
• Develop and facilitate individual and group counseling sessions and activities.
• Coordinate referrals for employment, vocational training, legal services, and medical care.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on maintaining program operations.
• Research grant opportunities and assist with grant financial management.
