Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in outpatient settings. The role includes supporting MBS studies in Radiology and cross-training for Inpatient Rehabilitation as needed.

Preferred candidates have MBS experience, LSVT LOUD certification, and are comfortable working with adults and varying acuity levels.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida required.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification required.
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies preferred.
• Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
• LSVT LOUD certification or experience treating patients with Parkinson's disease preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering data from patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develops treatment plans with goals aligned to continuum of care for age-specific needs.
• Assesses data to identify patient requirements and deliver appropriate care.
• Uses and maintains professional equipment safely, with clear explanations of its purpose.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans, documenting as required by department.
