Job summary

Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages with varying acuity. The role requires a Master’s degree in speech/language pathology, Florida licensure (CCC-SLP or CFY accepted), and current BLS certification.

Hours vary based on patient admissions and census, typically 3–5 hours per day on weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an approved program.
• Florida license as Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP or CFY acceptable).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team, and family.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with specific goals integrated into the continuum of care.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Ensures accurate billing and adherence to departmental policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
