Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s outpatient pediatric rehabilitation program seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat pediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and adherence to hospital policies.

Candidates should hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC or CFY, Florida licensure, and BLS certification, with outpatient pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY completion.
• Current license in the State of Florida.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
• Two (2) years of outpatient pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering data from patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings and family.
• Develops treatment plans with specific goals aligned to age-specific needs.
• Assesses data to identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs and provides required care.
• Demonstrates competency with equipment, safety precautions and explains equipment purpose.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans and documents accordingly.
• Ensures accurate billing and adherence to policies.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Participates in Performance Improvement, program development, student supervision and infection control.
