Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient RN for Infusion to support weekend infusion clinics and a floating schedule across multiple ambulatory infusion sites. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care within a team-based environment.

Qualifications

Job Title: Outpatient RN - Infusion - Weekend & Float RN

Department: Ambulatory Services | Morehouse Infusion

Scope of Position: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.

Position Summary: The nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Scope of Position: Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred. This is a float position and as such, the nurse is expected to work at multiple locations.

Additional Information: This position will be required to work every other weekend at our weekend infusion clinics. In addition, this position will require floating to the five core infusion clinics throughout Columbus during the work week and will vary daily based on patient volume and staffing needs.
