Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse for infusion clinics. This contingent/IRP role requires delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and families in the outpatient infusion setting.

The nurse will assess needs, coordinate care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Occasional weekend shifts and participation in floating assignments across Columbus infusion clinics are included.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN-accredited program.
• Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in infusion settings and coordinate with the care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and family.

The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care. **Position Summary:** The nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. Scope of Position: **Minimum Qualifications:** Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit.**\\*Experience in relevant care setting preferred.**## Additional Information:This position will be required to work 2-3 shifts per month at our weekend infusion clinics.
