Job summary

New England Baptist Hospital is seeking a Rehab Aide to assist under a Licensed Physical Therapist in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Chestnut Hill, with potential travel to the Dedham center as needed.

You will support patient care through delegated treatments, exercise follow-up, patient education, and accurate documentation, while contributing to administrative tasks and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Heart Saver or BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides delegated treatments to NEBH patients under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Performs follow up of routine exercises and functional activities as guided by the therapist.
• Instructs patients on proper exercise form and safety to prevent injuries.
• Orientation of new patients on equipment usage and safety.
• Documents patient performance in daily flow sheets and reports responses to the primary therapist.
• Maintains departmental supplies and assists with routine administrative duties as needed.
• Adheres to Infection Control policies, including cleaning of equipment and work areas.
