Job summary

New England Baptist Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Chestnut Hill seeks a staff member to assist under supervision of Licensed Physical Therapists, providing PT services to Spine Center and orthopedic patients. Travel to Dedham may be required as needed.

Under the guidance of a Licensed Physical Therapist, assist in providing Physical Therapy services to patients at New England Baptist’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Chestnut Hill. The patient population includes Spine Center patients, post‑operative patients, and patients with general orthopedic injuries from other referring sources. The candidate may also be required to travel to New England Baptist’s Outpatient Care Center in Dedham on an as‑needed basis.

Principal Duties and Essential Functions

• Provide delegated treatments to NEBH patients under direct supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow up with patients on specific exercises, functional activities, flexibility, and strength measurements under therapist guidance.
• Instruct patients on proper exercise form to avoid injury.
• Orientation for new patients on correct equipment and usage.
• Document patient performance in daily flow sheets.
• Report patient responses to treatment promptly to the primary therapist.

Non‑Treatment Related Activities

• Maintain an inventory of departmental supplies sufficient for daily operation.
• Assist with administrative duties such as answering telephone, copying materials, and other office tasks as needed.
• Assist with compliance with Infection Control Policy, including changing linens, cleaning mats/equipment, and general clutter removal.
• Utilize free time in a productive manner.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, preferably in a related field such as Exercise Physiology or Athletic Training.

American Heart Association Heart Saver certification or BLS required.

Pay Range

$20.00 – $26.92 per hour. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on factors such as seniority, education, training, certifications, geography, shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other applicable factors permissible by law.

Vaccination Requirement
