Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services in a full-time role. The PTA will support the supervising Physical Therapist, implement treatment plans, and document in the EMR to help patients achieve their goals.

Ideal candidates hold a NY PTA license, have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises and functional training, and demonstrate strong communication to educate patients and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• PTA licensed to practice in New York State.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed PTA.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises and functional training.
• Able to communicate clearly and instruct patients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in patient care under the supervising PT.
• Follow the Plan of Care and state guidelines.
• Document in EMR and maintain patient safety and privacy.
• Educate patients on exercises and equipment use.
• Assist with transfers and device setup as directed by PT.
• Support team with documentation and care coordination.
