Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Outpatient in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient care. Hours vary: Mon-Fri 7a-7p; full-time position with compensation based on experience and equity.

Under the supervision of a licensed PT, you will assist with therapy plans, supervise aides, and participate in patient education and discharge planning. Starting salary ranges from $27 to $42 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• State license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certification through CAPTE is required.
• BLS certification within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the therapist in data collection and initial evaluations.
• Implement therapy plan of care for assigned patients.
• Progress treatments as patient status changes.
• Identify and report changes in patient status to supervising therapist.
• Coordinate treatment with other services and resources.
• Provide patient education and home exercise programs.
• Prepare for patient discharge and assist with equipment needs.
• Supervise aides and assign routine tasks as directed.
• Manage caseload flexibly and participate in all relevant meetings.

Education

Graduation from an approved school for Physical Therapist Assistants

CAPTE national examination certification

BLS certification within first 90 days
