Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Middletown, CT is seeking an Entry Level Physical Therapy Technician to support therapists in patient care. You will escort patients, prepare treatment areas, and assist with exercises under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environment preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to treatment areas.
• Observe patients during treatments and report to the physical therapist.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Prepare treatment areas for patient care.
• Prepare modality treatments under supervision (electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, iontophoresis, BFRT).
• Keep treatment areas clean and disinfected and equipment in working order.
• Assist with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.
