Job summary
Tri-S Recruiters is partnering with a Northwest Indiana healthcare provider in East Chicago to recruit a Psychiatrist for outpatient care. This full-time, permanent role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend/holiday rounding as needed and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
The physician will perform evaluations, manage medications, and apply psychotherapy as part of integrated care with other teams.
Qualifications
- ABPN Board Certification/Eligibility with plan for certification within timeframe.
- Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration.
- Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with EMR systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to efficacy and side effects.
- Utilize psychotherapeutic methods with pharmacological treatments.
- Collaborate with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to support integrated care.
- Maintain accurate EHR and participate in clinical quality reviews.
