Job summary
6 Degrees Search is seeking a Psychiatrist for outpatient care in East Chicago, IN. This full-time, permanent role offers a balanced schedule with Monday–Friday hours and occasional weekend or holiday rounding.
You will design a practice around your goals in a tech-forward environment, with access to integrated behavioral health teams and advanced EMR tools. The ideal candidate is ABPN board certified or eligible, holds Indiana licensure, and is comfortable with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted
Qualifications
- ABPN board-certified or board-eligible with a plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
- Unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
- Experience with or aptitude for EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
- Strong communication skills and EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to efficacy and side effects.
- Utilize psychotherapeutic methods collaboratively with pharmacological treatment.
- Collaborate with primary care, social work, and nursing teams for integrated behavioral health support.
- Maintain accurate EHR and participate in quality reviews to enhance patient safety.
