Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to support outpatient psychiatric care for children and adults. The role involves collaborating with a psychiatric prescriber and a diverse client base, delivering medications and nursing care across days with occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities include injections, labs, assessments, order processing, charting, and coordination with care teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Arizona.
• One year of behavioral health and/or healthcare nursing experience.
• Fingerprint clearance issued by AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible within eight weeks of hire.
• Valid AZ driver’s license and motor vehicle clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with children and adult patients needing psychiatric care in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with the psychiatric prescriber and diverse client base.
• Perform injections, draw blood, and send samples to the lab.
• Conduct initial and annual assessments.
• Deliver medications as needed.
• Administer methadone on Saturdays (as needed) and at least every 4 weeks.
• Ensure medications are available for participants.
• Receive and process medication orders from physicians per state regulations.
• Work with prescribers on monitoring and changing medication orders.
• Complete charting and record keeping per SBH/ADHS standards.
• Participate in clinical case staffing and PCP coordination.
• Assist in SBH chart audit processes and provide therapeutic interactions.
• Additional duties may be required to meet program needs.
