Job summary

Gulfport Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility on the MS Gulf Coast, seeks an Outpatient Program Therapist to plan, provide, coordinate, document, and evaluate social services for adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients. You will conduct group and family therapy, case management, and discharge planning in collaboration with the hospital team.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Social Work or related field, at least two years in psychiatric settings, and a Mississippi-licensed credential

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related mental health field.
• At least 2 years' experience in psychiatric setting.
• Experience with family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy and family therapy sessions.
• Coordinate case management and treatment planning.
• Round with clinical staff and participate in discharge/care planning.
• Develop resources and assist in follow-up care.
• Document social services as required.
