Job summary

Gulfport Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility, seeks an Outpatient Program Therapist to provide and coordinate social services for adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients. You will conduct group and family therapies, manage treatment planning, and collaborate with clinical staff for discharge and follow-up plans.

MD/ MS license preferred (LCSW/LMSW/LPC); CPR and CPI certifications required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
• Preferably 2+ years experience in a psychiatric health care facility or outpatient setting with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills.
• License to practice in Mississippi preferred: LCSW, LMSW or LPC.
• CPR certification and CPI certification within 90 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, coordinate, document and evaluate direct and indirect social services for adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients.
• Conduct group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
• Coordinate rounds with clinical staff and provide follow-up and resource development/assistance.
