Job summary

Gulfport Behavioral Health System is seeking an Outpatient Program Therapist to plan, provide and coordinate social services for adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients. You will conduct group and family therapy, do treatment planning, clinical rounds and discharge planning, with ongoing case management and resource support.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work or related field; 2+ years in a psychiatric setting preferred; MS license (LCSW/LMSW or LPC) preferred; CPR and CPI within 90

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatric health care facility or outpatient setting preferred (2+ years).
• LCSW, LMSW or LPC license to practice in Mississippi preferred.

The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for those seeking treatment for mental illness.

Position Summary

Join a team where the Outpatient Program Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to adult and adolescent IOP/PHP patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital. Will conduct group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, discharge/care planning and follow-up, and resource development/assistance.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Preferably a minimum of two (2) years’ experience and in a psychiatric health care facility or outpatient setting, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: LCSW, LMSW or LPC license to practice in the State of Mississippi preferred.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and CPI certification (management of aggressive behavior training) within 90 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
