Job summary

BriteLife Recovery is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide individualized, evidence-based treatment across PHP, IOP, and OP programs in New Jersey. You will conduct assessments, develop plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use disorders and co‑occurring conditions.

Role requires daytime/evening hours, flexibility, and both in-person and virtual service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• New Jersey credentials to provide clinical services.
• Experience treating substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions.
• Experience providing individual and group counseling.
• Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and evidence‑based interventions.
• Strong clinical documentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Assess needs and levels of care using ASAM Criteria.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy.
• Facilitate groups across PHP, IOP and OP levels of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per policies and payer requirements.
• Coordinate treatment with the multidisciplinary team and manage discharge planning.
