Job summary

Medix is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for outpatient primary care in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves comprehensive patient evaluations, preventive care, and managing acute and chronic conditions within a clinical care team.

The candidate will conduct exams, order tests, and develop treatment plans, while ensuring accurate EHR documentation and adherence to Arizona nursing guidelines. Relevant NP/PA-C certifications and an active AZ license are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years outpatient/primary care experience as NP/PA-C preferred.
• Master's or Doctorate in nursing (MSN/DNP) required.
• Active APRN license in Arizona or eligible via NLC.
• Board certification as FNP/AGNP or related.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical exams, health screenings, and routine evaluations.
• Diagnose and develop evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs).
• Prescribe medications and therapies following DEA and state guidelines.
• Educate patients on preventive health, chronic disease management, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system.
