Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a primary care role in a busy Texas clinic. You will provide direct patient care, work within an Enhanced Care Team, and manage a diverse patient panel from new visits to chronic disease management.

New grads welcome; a structured mentorship program supports transition-to-practice with supervision from physicians and APP colleagues in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• Texas RN licensure or RN licensure with compact privilege.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients with comprehensive histories and examinations.
• Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medications or therapies following approved protocols.
• Forms and implements comprehensive treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Counsels patients and families on medical processes, medications, and health promotion.
• Maintains patient records and initiates referrals when needed.
• Provides consultation level services for conditions related to the specialty.
