Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc. operates outpatient physical therapy clinics focused on patient-centered care. The PTA will implement programs, follow recovery plans, and deliver treatments tailored to restoring function and mobility for individuals.

We seek candidates with CAPTE-accredited PTA training, Virginia licensure or eligibility, and outpatient experience; CPR certification is required. Training and professional development are emphasized within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a PTA in Virginia or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• CPR certification current.
• Experience in exercise rehab and manual therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using established protocols and guidelines.
• Complete timely documentation, including notes and reports.
• Deliver active and passive manual therapy, heat, ultrasound, and other modalities as prescribed.
• Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain.
• Instruct patients in mobility, transfers, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Observe and document patient responses and progress for PT/Director.
• Fit and train patients in orthopedic braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with PT staff to plan and coordinate treatment programs.
• Measure range of motion, body part dimensions, and vital signs for evaluations.
