Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc is seeking a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver care in outpatient clinics across Central Virginia.

You will document progress, coordinate with physicians and insurers, and lead a treatment plan from evaluation through discharge, while leveraging EMR and standard MS Office tools. The role supports mentorship, CE, loan repayment, and growth into clinic management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Physical Therapy program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one before employment.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience or interest in outpatient orthopedic care, including balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
• Comfortable working independently while effectively managing a diverse patient caseload.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
• Proficient with EMR systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the Physician's referral and patient records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals, and a comprehensive program to reach them.
• Implement physical therapy treatment program and essential treatments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
