Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient team in Lynchburg, VA. You will assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans and help patients regain mobility and function using evidence-based techniques.

You will document patient progress, support education, and participate in clinic mentorship and professional development opportunities. Virginia PTA licensure and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or eligibility in Virginia.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per established protocols and guidelines.
• Document daily notes, progress reports, and incident reports timely.
• Administer active and passive therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Assist patients with mobility training and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate progress to the PT and Clinical Director.
• Assist with fitting and training in orthopedic braces, crutches, walkers, and other devices.
• Collaborate with PT staff and other health team members to coordinate treatment plans.
• Measure and record range of motion and vital signs to evaluate treatment effects.
