Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient services in Ithaca, NY. You will support licensed PTs by delivering skilled care under supervision and helping patients meet functional goals.

The role requires an associate degree, NY PTA license or eligibility, CPR certification, and current safety trainings. Outpatient experience is preferred; new grads considered. Local travel may be required and schedule includes days/evenings with occasional weekends.

Competenze

• Successful completion of an accredited PTA program resulting in an Associate's degree.
• Current New York State PTA license or eligibility.
• Current CPR Certification.
• yearly safety in-services and HealthStream trainings.

Mansioni

• Provides skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs, guides and assists patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and activities of daily living.
• Assists patients with safe use of crutches, walkers, canes, and orthotic devices.
• Administers physical therapy modalities such as hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as directed.
• Performs therapeutic activities within PTA scope under supervision.
• Monitors and documents patient responses and progress to PT.
• Communicates with PT regarding progress and modifications to the program.
• Participates in discharge planning and home exercise program reinforcement.
• Educates patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, mobility, and home program continuation.
• Documents care and charges in the EMR.
• Maintains NYS requirements, policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.
