Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT/DPT program.
  • Valid NYS Physical Therapy license is required.
  • Minimum one year's experience in Orthopedics.

Expected Daily Work Hours: M-F variable and rotating Saturdays

What you’ll do:
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Provides physical therapy services including evaluations and treatment in accordance with policy, procedures, state laws, and the professional code of ethics.
  • Designs, implements, and modifies therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy (including soft tissue and joint mobilization), physical agents or modalities, and patient-related instruction (including home exercise programs).
  • Maintains accurate and legible documentation including initial evaluations, SOAP notes, flow sheets, reevaluations (every 30 days or 10 visits for Medicare patients, whichever comes first), and discharge summaries, all completed timely and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Maintains complete and accurate billing practices and assists the front desk with maintaining authorizations.
  • Practices in a safe manner that minimizes risk to patients, self, and others.
  • Supervises assistive personnel and students when appropriate to ensure safe care.
  • Updates clinical skills through continuing education, professional contacts, journal articles, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Participates in in-service presentations and maintains a clean and organized work area, including care and maintenance of facility equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT/DPT program.
  • Valid NYS Physical Therapy license.
  • Strong interest in Orthopedics and Sports Therapy.
  • Minimum one year's experience in Orthopedics; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
